Maxgard® 900 (Benzophenone-8)

2,2'-Dihdroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone. It has a very broad and strong UV absorption curve which makes it very effective for protecting plastics from the damaging ultraviolet radiation which is a component of natural sunlight. It appears as a free flowing light yellow powder and is soluble in a wide range of solvents. It is compatible with many different polymers like PVC and polyester.
