TAPPI-75-AL by United Initiators is tert.amylperoxy pivalate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the high-pressure polymerization of monomers, e.g. ethylene and co-polymerization of vinyl and ethylene in combination with thermally more stable peroxides. It is liquid even at low temperature and high pressure. No crystallization occurs within the high-pressure pumps. TAPPI-75-AL appears as a colorless mobile liquid which is de-sensitized with high boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons having a molecular weight of 188.2 g/mol.
