Tert.butyl-peroxy-isobutyrate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the high pressure polymerization of monomers e.g. ethylene in combinnation with other peroxides, and others like (meth-)acrylates, styrene and many others in combination with more stable peresters. It appears as a colorless, mobile liquid which is, desensitized with aliphatic hydrocarbons having 160.2 g/mol of molar mass.
