Santicizer® 143

Santicizer® 143 by Valtris Specialty Chemicals is a flame-retardant plasticizer for a variety of polymer systems. Although it is made from totally synthetic feedstocks, it closely matches the performance of cresyl diphenyl phosphate (CDP). Compared to Santicizer® 154 or the isopropylated triphenyl phosphates, it has greater softening efficiency and imparts better low-temperature flexibility. Exhibits better vertical burn performance and less smoke generation than competitive triaryl phosphates. Has a powerful solvating action on PVC and will significantly accelerate gellation as well as fusion. Is an excellent modifier for vinyl nitrile foams. Santicizer® 143 also acts as a highly efficient processing aid while imparting flame retardancy required to meet specified performance criteria. Suitable for use in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applications, including calendered goods, extrusions, plastisol-derived products and cellular vinyls.
