Antiblocking masterbatch containing amorphous synthetic silica, in a polypropylene homopolymer carrier. Prevents the severe blocking tendency of polyolefin films. High dispersion of the additive in the masterbatch guarantees a very good homogeneity in the final product. Addition of this additive prevents the typical problems experienced during the winding and unwinding of the film. Especially intended for the manufacture of general purpose BOPP films. Offers a minimal effect on the final transparency of the film, when added to the skin layers. Owing to hygroscopic properties of the product, once sacks are opened, the contents should be consumed as soon as possible. An effective closing system should be employed for partially used sacks in order to avoid contact with the air. Used for food packaging applications.
