Masterbatch containing a special combination of slip and antistatic additives in a polypropylene homopolymer carrier. Migrating to the surface, the additives both improve the slip properties and help to dissipate the static charge by capturing atmospheric moisture and forming a conductive layer on the surface of the film. An optical brightener has also been added to improve the appearance of the film. May affect the flexibility of the film manufacturer for making changes to the film formulation. Once sacks are opened, the contents should be consumed as soon as possible. An effective closing system should be employed for partially used sacks in order to avoid contact with the air. Used for food packaging applications and in the core layer of general purpose coextruded films.
