VIBATAN® XPS Process Aid 03330

Dispersion of organic salt of fatty acid in ethylene copolymer carrier. Acts as a processing aid. Works as an internal slipping agent and is specific for the production of polystyrene gas foamed articles. One of the problems of the substitution of the HCFC gas with CO2 and HFA is due to the low solubility of these gases in polystyrene: therefore, the necessity to increase the pressure in the dosing of the gas during the extrusion. Helps the slipping and, at the same time, the homogenisation of the melt. Result is a XPS sheet with a uniform density, a brilliant appearance of surface and a higher productivity. Approved for food applications.
