VINNEX® 2522

VINNEX® 2522 by Wacker is a polyvinyl acetate resin. Acts as an impact modifier and processing aid. It improves the mechanical properties and the processing performance of biopolyesters such as PLA and PLA/PBAT blends in the extrusion coating of paper. It is a better substitute for conventional LDPE. It is ideal for improving heat sealing properties. It can significantly increase the tack of the coating, thereby enabling a smooth, fast production process. It is used in film-coated paper cups. Its recommended use level is 5-10%. VINNEX® 2522 can be used in food contact applications according to EU regulations for Food Contact and the US Food and Drug administration (§175.105, §175.300, §176.170 and §176.180).
