V-601 by Wako Chemicals is a dimethyl 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropionate). It is a non-nitrile azo initiator. It is an alternative to AIBN, freely soluble in various organic solvent and has 10 hour half-life. Exhibits equivalent polymerization activity of AINB and its efficiency of polymerization rises in alcohols solvent.
