2-Ethylhexanoic Acid Pro by Perstorp is a partly renewable oxo carboxylic acid. It offers reduced carbon footprint and lower carbon dioxide emissions. It has one carboxylic group based on a C8 carbon chain. It is used in esters for PVB film plasticizers, in synthetic lubricants, wood preservatives and PUR catalyst. It is suitable for the production of metal soaps for paint driers and automotive coolants. 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid Pro (2-EHA Pro, or octanoic acid) is ISCC PLUS certified as well as registered with REACH and ES (EINECS).
