LUXAN D522 by Eckart is a non-leafing, free-flowing pearlescent pigment with copper reflection color. It is based on platelets of glass flakes coated with iron oxides. It creates greater optical transparency than is possible with conventional pearlescent pigments. It offers chemical resistance, color intensity owing to homogeneous surfaces and intensive glitter effect. It is used in plastics. LUXAN D522 has a shelf life of 120 months.
