Ultramarine blue 59

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Venator Materials
Alumino sulphosilicate red-shade ultramarine blue pigment . It has medium tinting strength and shows fastness to heat and light. It is very easy to disperse and approved worldwide for use in sensitive applications such as food contact plastics and cosmetics. It is the most resistant pigment to acid attack and should be used in any application where exposure to acids is likely to be severe or prolonged. Also widely used alone to obtain a bright, transparent shade of blue, or in combination with other pigments such as titanium dioxide, with which it gives an attractive pastel shade. Its redness makes it especially useful in absorbing an unwanted yellow undertone to improve the shade of white or transparent articles. It is intended as a general purpose pigment with applications in cosmetics, plastics and many other industries.
