Iriodin® 6163 WAY

Iriodin® 6163 WAY by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is a high-class chemical and UV stabilized effect pigment for thermoplastic applications. It is composed of synthetic mica, silicone dioxide & aluminum oxide (85-91%) coated in a wafer-thin layer of titanium dioxide (8-12%), zinc oxide (0.5-2%) and tin oxide (0.5-2%). It offers silver white interference color. It is an inorganic ceramic-like coating around the pigment which is stable at temperatures being used for processing plastic resins. It shows chemical stability, UV protection, reduced photoactivity and color stability. With a concentration of about 1%-1.5% in the polymer matrix it provides high transparency and excellent sparkle. It is ideal to be used for outdoor applications such as automotive interior/exterior & plastic parts, architecture, outdoor furniture and toys.
