Anthraquinone is a mid-shade yellow organic pigment. It is soluble in polyester and other selected amorphous engineering polymers. Presol yellow P147 displays excellent heat stability, sublimation resistance and light fastness. Its solubility in styrenic polymers and in PMMA is dependant upon concentration and processing temperature. At a test concentration of 0.2% presol yellow P147 is soluble above 250°C. It is recommended for all polyester fiber and yarn types as well as for the coloration of PET bottles.
