FERROXIDE® Red 228M

FERROXIDE® Red 228M by Venator Materials is a dark, blue shade precipitated red iron oxide pigment, micronized for good rheology at high solids and easy dispersion in a variety of systems. FERROXIDE® Red 228M is designed to use in liquid colorants, plastics, rubber, and other specialty applications. It meets ASTM C979-82 standards for color pigments used in cement.

• It offers reliability, consistent quality, and stability under exposure to sunlight.
• It shows resistance to UV radiation, alkali, chemical and weather.
• It exhibits color-stability below 400°C (750°F) and does not undergo any chemical change up to 1000°C (1832°F).
• It is suitable for articles that contact food (21CFR), but not suitable for direct coloration of food or cosmetics, owing to its sufficient purity.
