FERROXIDE® Yellow 3048

FERROXIDE® Yellow 3048 by Venator Materials is a ferric oxide hydrate (FeOOH) manufactured in the precipitated process and micronized for ease of dispersion in plastic systems. It is a permanent, non-bleeding inert pigment with a clean shade, low oil absorption and good heat resistance.

• It offers reliability and consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation, and alkali, chemical and weather resistancy.
• It is used alone and in combination with organic pigments to improve opacity, reduce formula cost and add UV resistance to coating and ink formulations.
• It exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures below 180°C (365°F).
• It is mainly recommended, owing to its sufficient purity, for use in articles that meet food(21CFR), but not suitable for the direct coloration of food or cosmetics.
• FERROXIDE® Yellow 3048 is suggested for plastics and rubber applications.
