Masterbatch Compounding Optimization Technology

During the compounding of plastics with solids such as titanium dioxide (TiO2), the twin screw extrusion process is commonly used. The overall process is defined by the addition of raw materials, the dispersion and mixing of these materials and their thermal deformation. The choice of screw elements and placement are important factors to optimize the overall process. If, the screw design and element placement are not optimized, the full potential of the extrusion step may not be realized.
