Extrusion and Injection Molding Processing Aids

Dow Corning
This is a Past Webinar
When plastic processors, including injection molders and extruders face process optimization challenges, silicone technologies can help.

Easy-to-use pelletized siloxane masterbatches from Dow Performance Silicones are composed of ultra-high molecular weight polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) dispersed in a carrier resin. These additives boost throughput and productivity by increasing slip and flowability, improving mold filling and release, and reducing torque and die build-up.

This webinar will describe the interaction of PDMS and thermoplastics during processing, present product case studies and provide usage recommendations. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of how silicones add value to many different thermoplastics by improving processability without degrading performance properties.
