Baerolub LA-SP

Baerolub LA-SP by Baerlocher is amide wax. It acts as a lubricant. Imparts good anti-blocking characteristics and surface gloss is also favorably influenced. Insoluble in water. Shows little solubility in low boiling organic solvents, good solubility in white spirit and toluene. The strong hydrophobic effect imparts good water resistance to most systems. Compatible with paraffins and most synthetic waxes. Dosages of up to 0.5 % will normally not lead to haziness. Used as an external lubricant for the processing of thermoplastics. Baerolub LA-SP is used as a dry lubricant in wire-drawing.
