Niax™ catalyst EF 602

Niax™ catalyst EF-600 by Momentive is a liquid, low odor, tertiary gel amine. The non-volatility of this amine catalyst is the result of molecular design and high molecular weight. This give affinity toward the chemical structure of the final urethane polymer. It is the most delayed catalyst in this family and it can be used as the sole catalyst in most formulations. In this case, the use level can be relatively high. It gives extended cream time, smooth expansion and results in open foam with good physical properties. Improves hardness in TDI-based molded foams. This hardness increase is apparently proportional to the index and to the level of grafted polyol used in the formulation. Niax™ catalyst EF-602 can also be used in combination with a blow catalyst.
