Rhenogran® Pb3O4-80

Rhenogran® Pb3O4-80 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a curing activator for chloroprene and butyl rubber as well as chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM). It also acts as filler in compounds for protective covering owing to high capacity to absorb X-rays and low water solubility. It improves the swelling of vulcanizates in water. It contains ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) as a binder. It is suitable as an oxidizing agent for the vulcanization of butyl rubber with quinone-dioxime. It is applicable in water resistant rubber articles, X-ray articles, e. g. gloves and aprons. Recommended dosage level is 5-20 phr. Rhenogran® Pb3O4-80 has a shelf life of 2 years.
