Colorstream®
Polymers additives supplied by Merck KGaA Darmstadt Germany
Colorstream® is a range of synthetically produced silicon dioxide (SiO
2
)-based multicolor effect pigments used to add a special touch to almost any thermoplastic mass, as well as cast resins and latex. Coated with highly refractive metal oxides, the wafer-thin and smooth platelets reflect the light-generating extraordinary changing interference colors. Their high level of transparency gives the multicolor effect pigments enormous styling potential in transparent polymers while equally allowing subtle and strong color shifts.
