Celanese Corporation, a global chemical and specialty materials company, confirms that it is lifting the remaining elements of the force majeure on acetyl tow products.
Reasons for Continued Force Majeure
Force majeure was declared previously on May 11, 2022, on acetyl chain and acetyl tow products.
Due to ongoing supply chain disruptions and an inability to reliably obtain certain necessary raw materials, Celanese was unable to lift the force majeure in connection with its acetate tow products until recently, even after the lifting of force majeure on acetyl chain products.
