The following document constitutes terms and conditions (hereinafter "Terms and Conditions") under which SpecialChem S. A. with registered offices at 100, rue Petit, 75019 Paris, France, ("SpecialChem"), is offering you access to its services provided on the website it owns and runs.

Website is an online information, commercial, communication, marketing and advertising service operated by SpecialChem (the "Website") and accessible at the following url:

In order to use the Website, User needs Internet access. User also needs the equipment needed, including computer, modem, and possibly, other devices. SpecialChem shall not be held responsible for any of these costs.

SpecialChem grants User a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive right and license to use the Website and its Content provided that User will not (and does not allow any third party to) copy, modify, create a derivative work of, sell, assign, sublicense, grant a security interest in or otherwise transfer any right in the Website. User agrees not to access the Website by any other means than through the interface that is provided by SpecialChem for use in accessing the Website. User should not engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other User from using the Website. User should not transmit through the Website any unlawful, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, obscene, abusive, harassing, harmful, threatening, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable law. Personal information and data collection through the Website

SpecialChem may collect certain data called web log information (such as, but not limited to, User's web browser, User's operating system, pages visited by User) and use cookies when User visits the Website.

To access some parts of the Website and benefit from certain of its services, User is requested to register, at different parts of the Website. If User chooses to register, User will transmit SpecialChem personal information, like, but not limited to, contact details, job function and position details or preferences.

If User does not to provide SpecialChem voluntarily with personal information, User can still access the Website. However he may be unable to use certain services offered through the Website.

SpecialChem's goal in collecting personal information from User is to provide content and services that most likely meet User's interest, to customize its services, to request feedback on topics of interest for the User or to promote products, technical solutions or offers that are relevant for the User.

SpecialChem WILL NOT SHARE NOR SELL ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT USER WITH ANY THIRD PARTY THAN SPECIALCHEM WITHOUT THE PRIOR CONSENT OF USER.

If User interacts with a SpecialChem client, by posting a request through the Website (such as, but not limited to Requests For Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Sample, Request for Price...), by participating to Webinars, by downloading some specific documents belonging to SpecialChem's client, User will share with SpecialChem personal information such as, but not limited to, name, e-mail, company name, preferences or feedback. In this case, SpecialChem will only share with its client the information that User has explicitly shared with SpecialChem at this occasion.

SpecialChem does provide Third Party Websites Part of the Content (such as, but not limited to, Online Courses, Universal Selector...). User can be requested to log in or register to access Content on Third Party Websites. In such cases, User might use his SpecialChem credentials (ID and password) on third Party Websites. In some specific cases User might access the Content on Third Party Websites using his credentials proper to the Third Party Website or his SpecialChem credentials.

General Terms & Conditions of Sales – Online Courses menu

I - Definitions

Online course (hereinafter "Online Course"):
Online Course is an on-line, real-time presentation conducted by an expert in the domain that is a subject of the Online Course. Using your telephone and Web browser, you join a live presentation.
To participate, you need to pass a registration order and pay a participation fee indicated on the Online Course registration page.

II - Registration Order

Your registration order is completed at the moment of validation of your payment.

By ticking a button "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions" featured in the Order Confirmation Page and by validating your payment, you unreservedly and irrevocably agree with the terms and conditions presented here.

After completing your registration order, SpecialChem will send you an e-mail confirming and summarizing your order details and reference(s).

III - Participation fee (Price)

All participation fees are stated in EUROS.
SpecialChem shall not be accountable for any additional costs linked to participating in the Online Course, included but not limited to the phone and Internet connection fees.

IV - Payment

Credit Cards

On-line payment by credit card is required at the moment of submitting of your order.

Credit cards accepted include:
EUROCARD, MASTERCARD, VISA and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Payment Security
All credit card payment information is protected by using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

Bank Transfer

Payment by bank transfer is also accepted. Please note your order is confirmed only when payment reaches SpecialChem bank account.

V - Technical requirements for participating in the Online Course

To fully participate in the Online Course, you will need a computer with an Internet connection to view the presentation slides, a microphone and speakers (a USB headset is recommended) to listen to the speaker. You may also listen to and interact with the speaker over the phone.
Our Online Courses are conducted using Citrix GoToTraining. To confirm that your computer is configured for access to the event, please check GoToTraining system requirements.

SpecialChem shall not be held responsible if you fail to participate in the Online Course due to the lack of your computer or other equipment settings, capacity or performance.

VI - Order Cancellation & Refunds
You can cancel your order any time prior to the course by writing to online-course@specialchem.com.
  • All cancellations made before presentation slides are sent will be charged 30% of total order price
  • If presentation slides have been sent but the live session has not yet been delivered, 50% of total order price will be charged
  • All cancellations made after the course will be charged a full amount of the order price.

SpecialChem reserves the right to cancel the Online Course. In case of cancellation, SpecialChem will notify you as soon as possible. If SpecialChem should cancel, you will be provided a full refund in case no substitute date is available or in case you cannot participate on the substitute date.

VII - Intellectual Property

All materials contained in the Online Course presentation as well as the transcript of the presentations and downloads provided after the Online Course are protected by copyright law of France and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published or broadcast without the prior written permission of SpecialChem S. A. You may not alter or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice from copies of the content.

VIII - Privacy policy

SpecialChem does not collect any personal information about you (including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, email address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily.

IX - Accessing your personal information and correcting any inaccuracies in the information.

We attempt to keep your files complete, up-to-date, and accurate. You can access your personal information and notify us about errors.

In compliance with article 34 of the law n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978, (Information Technology and Freedom Law), you have right of access, modification, rectification and deletion of your personal data by writing to SpecialChem S.A., 100, rue Petit, 75019 Paris or to info@specialchem.com.

Third party personal information collected from User through the Website menu

If User decides to use the SpecialChem recommendation service ( on the Website or on a Third Party Website) to inform a third party person, who is or not a User of the Website, about the Website or to send him a link to the Website, User is asked to provide SpecialChem with this person's email address. SpecialChem stores this email address for the sole purpose of sending an invitation email to read the recommended part of the Website and inviting this person to become a Website User.

Accessing personal information and correcting any inaccuracies menu

Cookies are being used on the Website. Cookies help SpecialChem provide a better user experience by, among other things, measuring which Website areas are of greatest interest and User preferences. SpecialChem Websites and Content on Third Party Websites use the following types of cookies:

Service cookies:

These cookies are created when User registers to the Website in full or for one of its services. In this situation, a cookie will store useful information that enables the Website to remember User when he returns. SpecialChem may place web beacons on some pages to be able to compile anonymous or not, aggregated or personal statistics about Website usage and User preferences. Third party cookies my also serve an authentication purpose on Third Party Websites to access SpecialChem Contents. SpecialChem has no access to third party cookies and third party organizations have no access to SpecialChem’s. The third party organizations that place cookies have their own privacy policies.

Unsubscribing menu

The Website allows User to receive or stop receiving communications from SpecialChem. Each communication has instructions on how to be removed from the distribution list. Every User can manager his/her subscriptions in his/her User account on the website.

Emailing Policy menu

If User elects to register to the Website to have an extensive access to the Content, User may periodically receive e-mails regarding Webinars, Online Courses, product testing, feedback gathering, solicitations, new services launched and newsletters. User may unsubscribe at any time from the distribution list corresponding to these services by clicking on the unsubscribe link available at the bottom of all e-mails, according to the highest standards of Internet privacy protection rules.

SpecialChem has implemented advanced security measures to protect the loss of, misuse of, alteration of and unauthorized access to any information under its control. Personal information entered on the Website to register is secured by password protection and SpecialChem's internal processes that ensure no unauthorized individual will come into contact with User personal information. However, SpecialChem cannot fully ensure or warrant the security of any information submitted or transmitted by User.

User has the opportunity to display content on the Website to be communicated to other Website users. Any content User posts on the Website is subject to the following conditions: User is solely responsible for the content he posts, no matter the length or substance of the content. SpecialChem reserves the right to suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions immediately and without notice. SpecialChem reserves the right to suspend or terminate any other service provided to User through the Website.

SpecialChem may modify or discontinue Website with or without notice and without liability to User.

Applicable Law menu

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without giving effect to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes will be settled by Courts in Paris, France.

Miscellaneous menu

In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with the law under which the Terms and Conditions are to be construed or if any such provisions are held invalid by a court such provision will be deemed to be restated to reflect as nearly as possible the original intentions of the parties in accordance with applicable law, and the remainder of this Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and effect.
