Elkem Silicones Xinghuo achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of the test production phase for the Phoenix project.
This project involves the construction of a new 200,000-ton silicon monomer production plant and related equipment.

The rigorous testing phase culminated in flawless performance by the monomer synthesis plant, meeting all design specifications. The plant produced high-quality products that exceeded industry standards, marking a remarkable and unique start-up success. The Phoenix project, which broke ground on April 28th, 2021, reached completion on January 18th, 2024. Once fully operational, the Xinghuo plant will boast a total silicone monomer production capacity of 700,000 tons per year. Additionally, downstream processes and specialty product production capacity will reach 300,000 tons annually.
