Nordmann announces a strategic partnership with BYK, specifically in the plastics sector.
Nordmann UK will take over the distribution of BYK's extensive range of plastics additives in the UK and Ireland from March 1, 2024.
Each Brand Distinguished by Performance Traits
BYK products for fiber-reinforced composites and
PVC plastisols are highly regarded in the industry. In addition to their mechanical and aesthetic benefits, they are known for their excellent processing properties and ease of use.
BYK also offers easy-to-process multi-component additive systems. They are based on innovative skin-core extrusion and compacting technologies, tailored to individual customer specifications. They optimize material properties (such as
flame retardancy and
UV or light stability). Along with that, they address a wide range of applications, particularly in the fast-growing thermoplastic business.
BYK's market and product portfolio comprises nine brands, each of which is distinguished by its outstanding performance characteristics:
Thermoset Market: Serving all technologies used in the plastics sector. It includes SMC and BMC molding compounds, pultrusion, infusion, and hand lay-up. Their applications range from advanced composites to unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters, epoxies, polyurethanes, and acrylates.
PVC Market: Provides products for
PVC plastisols used in a variety of applications including flooring, wall coverings, coated fabrics, tarps and textile applications. They majority product groups includes wetting and dispersing additives, defoamers, air release agents, process additives and viscosity depressants.
Thermoplastics Market: Offering products suitable for a wide range of plastic materials. This includes polyolefins and engineering plastics, such as
processing aids,
coupling agents,
modifiers and products designed to improve the quality of recyclates.
This partnership is an exciting opportunity for Nordmann to further enhance its portfolio and provide customers in the UK and Ireland with access to BYK's innovative plastic additives.
