stephanalkoxylationhub Stepan Company begins construction to modify the Pasadena, Texas, site to be the global alkoxylation hub. The investment will bring enhanced capabilities to support the growing global demand of our Surfactant and Polymer businesses.

Investment to Enhance Capacity & Product Offerings

Stepan is committed to delivering value and enabling customers’ success. Stepan’s investment in this new alkoxylation plant will bring additional capacity and product offerings to support the growing needs of our customers.

The facility will have an annual capacity of 75,000 metric tons of alkoxylates made via ethoxylation and propoxylation. Alkoxylates are a core surfactant technology consumed across Stepan’s key agricultural, polymerization, oil and gas, construction, and household end-use markets.

The Pasadena, Texas site is expected to be operational late 2023 and will provide Stepan a footprint in the globally strategic U.S. Gulf Coast, expanding our alkoxylation network to three U.S. manufacturing locations.
