Gabriel-Chemie develops a series of halogen-free masterbatch for plastic tubes for electrical cables. After the successful introduction of the CO2-reduced white masterbatch of the MAXITHEN® series, Gabriel-Chemie is now expanding its sustainability strategy.
Offers Additional Environmental Benefits
The new halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch for plastic tubing in the electronics sector offers additional environmental benefits. The safe use of many everyday products is only guaranteed by the addition of flame-retardant additives.
Whether in vehicles, electrical devices and cables, consumer electronics, furniture, textiles or in structural and civil engineering structures: the use of flame retardants is essential to ensure the highest possible level of safety.
The use of halogen-free masterbatch is essential to prevent corrosion processes of electrical equipment and extruders. It helps to reduce the emissions of harmful gases and better protect outdoor facilities from environmental effects. The plastic products are easier to insert into the recycling circle and thus help to reduce the CO
2 footprint. Gabriel chemistry offers a technical and economically advantageous solution for pipes and electrical cables.
The halogen-free masterbatch not only meets the EN 61386 flame retardant standard, but also the EN 50642 standard for halogen-free material and IEC 61304-2 for smoke gas development. The new flame retardant masterbatch product range already includes more than 10 masterbatches for this application.
