POLYBATCH® IR 1515

POLYBATCH® IR 1515 by LyondellBasell is an infrared barrier masterbatch. It provides excellent optical properties. It let penetrate the short wavelength infrared light, which will be transformed by any black body like the ground or plants into long wavelength infrared light, which cannot escape anymore through the film. It reduces the greenhouse temperature-difference between day and night. It has low iron content which results in a neutral behavior towards UV aging. It is compatible with LDPE and LLDPE. It can be added to plain film as well as to co-extruded film. POLYBATCH® IR 1515 is recommended for use in blown films applications. It is used in agriculture applications like green houses, small and big tunnels. It cannot be used for food packaging applications.
