POLYBATCH® UVK 90

POLYBATCH® UVK 90 by LyondellBasell is an UV-stabilizer masterbatch. It is a polymeric steric hindered amine in a low melt LDPE. The presence of opacifying pigments such as titanium dioxide, carbon black and most inorganic pigments have a positive effect on outdoor stability when combined with UV stabilizer. The degradation speed depends on climatic conditions, thickness, polymer type and opacifying or other pigments or additives formulated into the resin. It is compatible with PP block copolymer, PP homopolymer, MDPE, LDPE, HDPE and LLDPE. POLYBATCH® UVK 90 is recommended for use in blown films and injection molding applications. It is used in transparent and opaque LDPE-films, tapes and white films because of its low tendency to pinking and yellowing. It is FDA recognized.
