ADBio PLA+

ADBio PLA+ by ADBioPlastics is a bio-based, compostable, impact modifier. It is made from raw materials derived from natural and environmentally friendly products such as corn, sugar cane and/or beet and renewable sources. It improves oxygen barrier properties up to 25-30% (OTR) and 15% (WVTR) in water vapor compared to PLA. It maintains the transparency of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

• It improves the mechanical properties, toughness, and impact resistance, up to 7 times (PLA is only 3%) of virgin PLA.
• It becomes less brittle, more processable (MFI), and has a 100% increase in flowability from 30% virgin PLA.
• It is applicable to flexible & rigid packaging, retail, textile, 3D printing, medicine, agriculture, construction, and other industries.
• It is suitable for injection blown, injection mold, thermoforming sheet extrusion, extrusion of 3D filaments, extrusion profile, cast extrusion, blown film extrusion, hollow body blown extrusion and injection technology icon.
• ADBio PLA+ complies with the European legislation standard N 13432 on food contact materials (FCM) and with the OK Compost certificate by the TÜV Austria.
• It is added in ranges between 5 to 20%.
