PEG-3350 by Akrochem is an effective activator employed when compounding with silica and clay fillers is required. It acts as a processing aid in rubber compounds. It improves lubrication, cure rate, state of cure and overcomes the retarding effect caused by mineral pigments. It reduces accelerator bloom, iridescence due to polarity and promotes microwave curing in EPDM. PEG-3350 functions as a mandrel or mold release for foam and mechanical goods. It is designed for all types of polymers using non-black fillers and is complies with FDA. Recommended dosage level is 1.5-3 phr and up to 4 phr in EPDM extrusion.
