UVBLOCK 1496 by Ampacet is a safer UV barrier masterbatch for food and industrial packaging. It is a sustainable alternative to conventional UV solutions based on benzotriazole additives.

It offers excellent optical properties and restricts the light exposure, especially UVA and UVB which can damage food components such as fats, proteins, and vitamins.
It is formulated without the intentional addition of substances of very high Concern (SVHC).
It is approved for food contact applications in Europe and the U.S. UVBLOCK 1496 finds application in clear polyolefin packaging applications.
