Clearstrength® XT100

Clearstrength® XT100 by Arkema is a methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell high performance toughening agent designed for thermosetting resins such as structural adhesives and composites. It is easily dispersible in most liquid resin systems at very low shear rates and exhibits a limited impact on their viscosity. It is highly compatible with various monomers, thus a single toughening agent can be used in several systems such as epoxy, methylmethacrylate (MMA). Since Clearstrength® XT100 is a non-reactive toughening agent, the final glass transition temperature of the host thermoset matrix is not affected. This grade can be advantageously used to replace standard core/shell modifier powders but also liquid masterbatches of pre-dispersed core/shell particles.
