Luperox® 10

Luperox® 10 by Arkema is a T-butyl peroxyneodecanoate. It acts as a polymerization initiator. Offers a lower light-off temperature, higher conversion, reduced start temperature, and high thermal stability. Compatible with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) polymers. Can be processed using injection molding. In order to promote accurate metering and a higher reactor safety it is preferentially diluted with aliphatic solvents prior to injection. Luperox® 10 is suitable for use in the free radical polymerization of ethylene and copolymerization of ethylene and vinyl acetate in high pressure tubular or autoclave reactors. Also, it can be used in the mass and suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride. As it is highly active, it is typically applied in the temperature range 50°C to 65°C.
