Luperox® 331M80

Luperox® 331M80 by Arkema is a 1,1-di(t-butylperoxy)-cyclohexane. It acts as a polymerization initiator. It is a cyclic peroxyketal with a decomposition pattern that results in the formation of extended polymer chains. It offers high molecular weight, reduced polydispersity, increased productivity and reduced residual monomer or oligomer. It is compatible with low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polystyrene, and acrylic resins. It is suitable to be used for the free radical polymerization of ethylene under high pressure (200°C-250°C) and of acrylics and methacrylics (100°C – 130°C). Luperox® 331M80 is highly functional in styrenic polymerization at 100°C to 130°C. Typical usage level range between 0.015% and 0.085% as supplied (50% active weight).
