Plastistrength® 557

Plastistrength® 557 by Arkema is an easily dispersed acrylic process aid that improves processing in a variety of rigid and flexible vinyl formulations by improving fusion. It is recommended for use in building & construction, blow-molding, extrusion and injection molding applications. It is also well suited for packaging applications, both bottles and film, where maintaining clarity without compromising mechanical integrity is a must. It generates excellent hot melt strength in vinyl formulations during processing. It offers improved aesthetics and surface characteristics, minimized reversion through dimensional stability, weatherability and excellent flow characteristics leading to wall thickness uniformity. Plastistrength® 557 is used in extruded products such as siding, profile, pipe, decking and fenestration as well as in calendered film.
