Irganox® 3052 FF

Irganox® 3052 FF by BASF is a non-staining, non-discoloring, hindered phenolic antioxidant for processing and long-term heat stability. It contains a moiety capable of deactivating alkyl radicals. It is heat- & light stable grade with low volatility and extraction resistance. It protects organic substrates against thermo-oxidative and purely thermal degradation. It is effective in stabilizing alkylene-, butadiene- and styrene-based polymers, elastomers and modifiers such as HIPS, ABS, BR, IIR, emulsion- & solution-SBR, SBR-latices, SBS, SEBS, EPDM, EPM, MBS, MABS, SMA and modified acrylates. It is also used in hydrocarbon resins, terpene & terpene-phenolic resins, rosins & rosin derivatives during processing and aging. Suitable for polycarbonates, polyester-carbonates, polymethacrylates, polyolefins and polyamides. Also applicable for polyphenylene oxides as well as homo- & copolymers of poly-alkyleneterephthalates. It acts as a chain terminator, gel inhibitor or processing stabilizer under high shear conditions. It can be used in combination with appropriate phenolic antioxidants and co-stabilizers (phosphites, phosphonites, thiosyner-gists) and light stabilizers (ultraviolet absorbers, hindered amines). The recommended dosage level of Irganox® 3052 FF is 0.05-0.5%.
