Tinuvin® PA 144

Tinuvin® PA 144 by BASF is a bis(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidinyl)-2-butyl-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzyl)propanedioate. It is a highly efficient hindered amine light stabilizer and is also effective as antioxidant. It provides significantly extended lifetime to plastics and rubber articles. Offers outstanding performance significantly retarding light and thermal degradation. Its performance can be significantly improved when using in combination with a UV absorber, which in many cases results in synergistic effects. Tinuvin® PA 144, having a phenolic antioxidant moiety also allows the user to reduce or eliminate other phenolic antioxidants in the polymer system. It is used for a wide variety of applications including polyurethanes, polyamide, rubber compounds, thermoplastic elastomers, unsaturated polyesters, acrylics and other organic substrates.
