BYK® -A 530

BYK®-A 530 by BYK is a silicone and polymer-containing defoamer/air release additive for plastic systems. It reduces the formation of foam during the manufacture and processing of epoxy resin systems to obtain blister-free surfaces. The recommended level for ambient-curing plastic systems is 0.5-2% additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation. It prevents air entrapment during manufacture and application. The recommended level for pultrusion application is 0.5-2% additive (as supplied) based upon the resin and curing agent. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of BYK®-A 530 is 60 months.
