RHEOBYK® R-605 SG

RHEOBYK® R-605 SG by BYK is a thixotropic-reinforcing additive in unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy and polyurethane systems that already contain pyrogenic silica or organophilic phyllosilicates (organoclays) as rheology additives.

• It enhances thixotropy, achieves high anti-sagging properties with improved leveling and air release properties, even with low quantities of silica or phyllosilicates.
• It stabilizes molecular sieves such as zeolite and silica in laminating resins.
• It activates hydrophilic and pyrogenic silica.
• It can be used in various resins, polyols, to prevent fillers settling during storage.
• Recommended dosage level for pyrogenic silica in vinyl ester resins is 20-50%, for pyrogenic silica in other resins is 10-30%, for organophilic phyllosilicates (organoclays) is 5-20% and for inorganic fillers is 0.5-2%.
• Shelf life of RHEOBYK® R-605 SG is 60 months.
