Exolit® OP 1400 Terra

Exolit® OP 1400 Terra by Clariant is a highly stable, non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinate. It exhibits outstanding thermal stability with a very broad processing window for all automotive applications used in harsh environments. It is designed for reinforced polyamide 6, polyamide 66, polyphthalamides and other high temperature polyamides such as PA 46, for both glass-fiber reinforced and unreinforced grades.
  • It is chemically and from its composition equivalent to Exolit® OP 1400, but is mass balance certified as it is produced from renewable-based ethylene.
  • It possesses high mechanical robustness and high RTI's.
  • It offers very good physical properties, excellent electrical properties, low material density and good colorability, without causing mold deposits and blooming.
  • It provides good transparency for laser welding and high contrast in laser marking.
  • Exolit® OP 1400 Terra is suitable for all e-mobility colors, thin-walled applications and compact design.
  • The recommended dosage level in glass-fiber reinforced polyamide 6 or 6.6 is 20% (by wt.) to obtain the ULV-0 classification for electrical components (at 1.6 mm down to 0.4 mm thickness).
  • In semi-aromatic polyamides, the dosage can be reduced to approx. 15%.
  • It has a shelf life of minimum 12 months.
