Desmodur® ultra DA-L by Covestro is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate. It is a liquid polyisocyanate, emulsifiable in aqueous polymer dispersions. It can be used as a crosslinking agent for largely pH-neutral aqueous polymer dispersions, such as polyurethane, polyvinylacetate, polyacrylate and synthetic rubber dispersions. Crosslinking raises the resistance of the bonds to heat, water, plasticizers and numerous solvents. Desmodur® ultra DA-L has a shelf life of 6 months.
