Eastman Triacetin Renew 59 is used as a plasticizer for cellulosic resins and is compatible in all proportions with cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose, and ethyl cellulose. Triacetin Renew 59 is useful for imparting plasticity and flow to laminating resins, particularly at low temperatures, and is also used as a plasticizer for vinylidene polymers and copolymers. It serves as an ingredient in inks for printing on plastics and as a plasticizer in nail polish. Eastman Renew plasticizers have been certified by International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC), a global, independent agency that tracks sustainable content in a variety of industries. Eastman Triacetin Renew 59 offers 59% certified recycled, renewable content* and 41% glycerin derived from plant based resources. With 100% sustainable content, it is identical in chemical makeup, performance, and regulatory certifications to Eastman Triacetin. Renew plasticizers enable a brand to reduce consumption of fossil feedstock-based plastics, achieve sustainability targets without compromise, and be a fast mover in a growing market for sustainable consumer products.
