Mark® 17M

Butyltin mercaptide. Used as a thermostabilizer in almost every PVC processing method. Has proven to give very good results in the processing of rigid and plasticized PVC on calenders, extruders as well as injection molding machines. Confers very good initial color and long term heat stability in rigid PVC, plasticized PVC as well as in plastisols. Is effective in all types of PVC such as emulsion, suspension or mass PVC or vinyl chloride copolymers. Has a very good compatibility with PVC; plate-out and exudation problems due to the stabilizer are practically unknown. In rigid PVC processing the addition of external lubricants such as montan waxes or complex esters (0.2 - 0.5 phr), PE waxes or oxidized PE waxes (0.05 - 0.1 phr) has proven to give good results. Improves the homogeneity and surface quality of the finished article.
