Omnirad 819 by IGM Resins is a UV absorber and photoinitiator for radical polymerization of unsaturated resins. It is suitable for curing of glass fiber-reinforced polyester/styrene systems.

It exhibits significant UV absorption at 237, 275 and 380 nm.
It can be used in combination with other photoinitiators such as Omnirad 184 or Omnirad BDK.
The addition level of Omnirad 819 is 0.2 – 0.4 % in glass-reinforced UPES/styrene prepregs.
