Lead stearate. It acts as a heat stabilizer, thickening agent and lubricant. It de-compounds into stearate and lead salt. It appears as a white fine powder. It is soluble in ethyl ether with slight solubility in water and insoluble in ethanol. It is used for polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
