Initiatior BK

Initiator BK by LANXESS is a polymerization initiator. It also functions as a reactive retarding agent for peroxides. It is free of peroxides and azo compounds, decomposes endothermally and is not self-accelerating. It is effective in sheet molding compounds (SMCs) and other molding materials (BMCs). It is suitable to use in radical polymerization processes with vinyl monomers, acrylic compounds or olefins are to be initiated in the temperature range 90-160°C. Recommended dosage level is 0.75-2%, depending on the binder content. Initiator BK has a shelf life of one year.
