Rhenogran® CaO-80 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a desiccant for rubber compounds of all kinds to prevent porosity. It is used in expanded compounds (micro-cellular rubber), as it provides a more uniform cell structure.

It exhibits accelerating effect, depending on the recipe of the compound.
It binds the moisture formed by the calcium hydroxide and enables the production of vulcanizates to be cured without pressure.
It contains ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) as a binder.
It is suitable in extrusion compounds, technical rubber articles like profiles, seals, belts, straps, conveyor belts, rollers, cable coverings and rubber flooring.
Recommended dosage level is 2 to 10 phr.
Rhenogran® CaO-80 has a shelf life of 1 year.
