2,2-(1,2-Ethenediyldi-4, 1-phenylene) bis-benzoxazole. Acts as an optical brightener. Functions by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and remitting blue light; this emitted blue light reduces the yellow color of a polymer. Offers very good resistance to heat, remarkable whitening effects, good light fastness and very low dosage. Improves the whiteness by providing a more uniform white to the recycled materials. Very effectively improves the appearance of the polymer or the fiber. Possesses very good whiteness in polyester fibers, also widely used in ABS, PS, PET, HIPS, PA, PC, PP, EVA and hard PVC. Complies with regulations for indirect food additives.
